Plate 02 · Catalogue

A product is a record,
not a caption.

Title, price, stock, photos, specifications, category. Written once, it renders your product page, your shop grid, your search results, your cart lines, your receipts and your reports — all from the same row.

FIG 02 — one row, every surface

What changes

Stop re-typing the same product.

In a chat shop every sale re-describes the item from memory. Prices drift between the post and the reply, and nobody knows what is left.

Without it

  • The price lives in a caption you have to find
  • “Is this still available?” is answered from memory
  • The same photo re-uploaded for every post
  • No SKU, so two similar items are one guess

With Traxease

  • One price, on the record, used everywhere
  • Stock decremented by the order that took it
  • One photo, reused across as many products as you like
  • A SKU you can search, sort and reconcile against

The record, live

Edit the left. Watch the right.

This is the actual field list behind a product. Change anything and the storefront card next to it re-renders — along with the raw values the database would hold.

The record

A working model of the real record. Nothing you type here is saved anywhere.

How it works

What the platform does with a product.

Hover a step to follow the thread from the field you fill in to the surface a shopper sees.

01

Money is stored as an integer

₦45,000 is held as 4,500,000 kobo. No decimal ever enters the money path, so a price cannot pick up a rounding error on its way to a cart total, a commission or a payout.

02

Images point at the library

A product holds a list of image URLs with alt text; the first is its primary. The files themselves live in your media library, so the same photo can back a whole range and still counts once against your storage.

03

Stock is optional and honest

Turn tracking on and the counter falls as orders take stock; leave it off for made-to-order items. The storefront reads the same counter the dashboard does — there is no second number.

04

Categories organise the shop

A category gives you a browsable page, a filter in search and a grouping in your reports. Products move between them without touching anything else.
